Training schedule: (from 9:00 to 13:00)

  • September 10 - Brussels

  • September 17 - Libramont

  • September 17 - Brussels

  • September 23 - Namur

The project is based on the willingness of the World Drone Academy to develop the training of class 3, which complements remote pilot trainings of classes 1 and 2.

To recap, the European Federation for Development of Civil Drones (EFDCD) has a mission to extend the use of drones in the European Community.

Recreational training (classe 3) aims to raise awareness and responsibility of buyers of recreational drones under 1kg that can be used on private land with respect for the existing law.

As a reminder, Classes 1 & 2 and the terms of use of RPAS in Belgium are defined in the Royal Decree of 10 APRIL 2016 - "Royal Decree on the use of remotely-piloted aircrafts in Belgian airspace " (Article 2016/14116 Belgian Official Journal).

The responsible use includes: knowledge of law, security of property and persons and understanding of technical aspects of recreational drones.

Recreational class has been developed based on the model of class 2 that is to say, a theoretical course and technical initiation. In addition to this theoretical training of 4 hours, we offer a separate practical training given by modules of 2 hours of "accompanied" pilotage on controlled land.

In conclusion this training aims to develop a framed recreational drone activity on the background of technological awakening of "youth" using a playful approach.

This training can therefore be used in school programs of awareness of new technologies in the new digital age and provide the adult generations with new careers and development prospects.

No such training is obligatory
